Tech4Learning has released Pixie 3, the latest upgrade to the classroom standard for elementary creative software.  Pixie is exciting creativity software used by students around the world to share their ideas, imagination, and understanding through a combination of text, original artwork, and voice narration.px3 logo resized 600“Our teachers and students have been using Pixie to engage higher level thinking skills through the formation of digital stories and standards-based formative assessments,” shares Laura Spencer, Coordinator of Instructional Technology at Santee School District (CA). “With the release of Pixie 3, students will be able to collaborate real-time on these projects, and then showcase this learning on a global scale through publication on Tech4Learning's cloud."

New tools and an updated interface in Pixie 3 provide even more opportunities for self-expression. Pixie 3 also includes tools that allow students to collaborate in real time on one project, developing essential collaboration skills. With the addition of K12Share.com, students can publish movies, interactive PDFs, Flash® files, and web sites into the cloud all without leaving Pixie.

“Pixie 2 changed how elementary students share ideas and demonstrate their understanding. Pixie 3 will change the way they work together,” said David Wagner, CEO of Tech4Learning. “Combining Pixie’s creativity tools with cloud-based publishing options, supports the development of 21st century classrooms.”
