Happy New Year! Tech4Learning has been busy adding new resources to Wixie for you and your students! Here are just a few new things from Tech4Learning this January.
New Wixie Templates and Activities
You can find a range of new activities, books, and templates for upcoming celebrations. Some templates focus on the traditions and reasons for the holiday, while others take a holiday-themed approach to classroom skills like number sense and patterning.
Martin Luther King Templates
Celebrate the achievements of Martin Luther King, Jr. (January 16th) using one of the new graphic organizers, interview templates, or informational booklets in Wixie.
Lunar New Year
Black History Month Templates
The start of February kicks off Black History Month. Start planning now on how you can have students highlight some of our history's finest contributors.
Valentine's Day Card Templates
Students can also design and share Valentine's day cards with their peers using one of the 20+ design cards. Explore, or assign, the new designs by going to Month-by-Month>February>Valentines.
President's Day Card Templates
The February Month by Month folder also contains new templates to help students learn more about US Presidents.
Over 600 new stickers and backgrounds were added to Wixie last year. Click the Page Picture option on the right of the toolbar in Wixie to explore the new Fantasy, Sports, Showcase, and Stationery background image folders.
You can also find many new backgrounds in the Comics folder.
New Stickers - Lunar New Year
Explore Lunar New Year celebrations and traditions using some of the new stickers and backgrounds. You can find these images in the Stickers Library> Culture>Chinese folder or in the Holiday>Lunar New Year folder of images.
