We hope you are enjoying the updates from this summer. We just couldn't wait until next summer to include a few more features to make using Wixie with your students even easier.
Class Nicknames
Teachers can now create nicknames for the classes that they are teaching. The class names that come in from the sync with your student information system are sometimes not the most user friendly. If this is the case for you, now you can fix it. The nicknames you provide will be used in the Class dialog when switching classes. To create nicknames for your classes, click the Account icon in the upper right corner, select Settings and then scroll down to the Class Nicknames section.
Folders in the Showcase
Teachers can now organize the projects in their Showcase into folders. To add a folder in the Showcase, click the Showcase folder, then click the New button and choose Folder. Each Showcase folder has its own unique URL.
Some additional new features include -
The ability to upload PNG and JPEG files into Wixie and have them automatically turned into Wixie projects.
A three second delay before recording a video similar to the delay for recording sounds.
